The scientists of the Ural Federal University, analyzed the statistics and came to the conclusion that there is inequality in the field of higher education in the regions and federal districts of the Russian Federation.
According to the head of research of Harold Zborowski, there are only 1-2 high school in many regions of Russia. And even they are under threat of closure. Without their own high schools remained and a few large cities. Such a situation has arisen in the country because of the optimization policy, enlargement and reduction of the number of higher education institutions.

For example, the Nizhny Tagil State Social and Pedagogical Academy has recently become a branch of the Russian State Professional and Pedagogical University. Thus Nizhny Tagil, a city with a population of 40 thousand people left without their high school.

Over the past few years, many higher education institutions have been found to be ineffective. Among them were the Novosibirsk universities – Ngah and SSGA.

Also, scientists have provided information that at the top of the hierarchical pyramid universities are federal universities, slightly behind their national research universities, followed by supporting regional universities, and in the kontse- other universities.
University students undergoing optimization are extremely dissatisfied with what is happening. Some colleges and universities have increased significantly in the training price.

The new Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva said it would suspend the process of consolidation of higher education institutions. Develop new approaches to solving the problem of inequality in education – one of the major tasks of sociologists and experts to date.
